About. Not an Example About Page.

So the About stuff, huh?

I was thinking about this a little bit this morning. The all so valued About page. I have to say. I disagree. I mean, I get it. When people snoop for information it would seem logical to read the About page. After all it is supposed to actually contain information ABOUT the owner of the site, what the owner likes for breakfast and “what the site is about”.

So from my perspective it completely defies purpose to write about what the site is about because obviously by looking at the site you should be more or less able to determine that it is about my interests, my business of SEO and IM Consulting and more or less related to that sort of stuff.

I know, I know, you can argue that the About page is supposed to have that institutional stuff on it so here goes…

~ About Us Begin~

Our (because there is a whole 1 of us behind this blog) mission statement is that we are on a mission to tell you about our mission because you could not possibly understand our mission if we didn’t actually tell you that we are on a mission (It kind goes like that on those other sites)…I am improvising here so don’t take it to heart.

~ About Us End (Thank God!)~

Alright, alright.. I will get serious for a moment.

Most of my readers are either my clients or potential clients or ex clients turning return clients. I am a consultant in SEO and Internet Marketing and a Programmer. In some way I guess you could label me as a highly advanced but retired web master who lost patience for doing that so I focused more on the things I will often talk about on the blog.

My actual expertise is in training and education of software developers and later I did the same for corporate SEO/SEM. Well, I used to do that for a living along side coding and then I decided to stop wasting my time on corporate giants and their bureaucratic mentality and give more of my knowledge to the those that will use it better for themselves.

Do not misinterpret that statement for some puritan good will mission that I set out to do. I DID do it primarily because I make a better living this way. However the money for me is not the only reason I decided to return to IM as a sole entity. The fact that I got rid of the obligation to go to work for someone else is worth all the money in the world to me.

Back in 2006 I started an SBSD social community which worked very nicely at the time and when the trend started being heavily abused I simply decided to shot down the project in mid to late 2007. Looking at it from the perspective I have today it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Since then a lot happened and to make the long story short, Link Dozer was born.

As you most likely know I am a sole creator of Link Dozer and the community that revolves around LD education and training.

To learn more about LD you can visit the Link Dozer site.

On the note of non technical and more personal aspect of what I do here one of the two main reasons I decided to return to this business after I have been gone between 2007 and 2009 is the fact that I am good at what I do and I love to do this. I do it with genuine passion.

The second reason is in large tied to the fact that I myself was once a person who had to learn all this stuff and there is no end to the number of books I read and things I tried and tested in IM and certain events in my personal story led me to decide that I do have something significant to contribute to the world in which people chase a chance to make a living online.

I could write about all these reasons a lot. I could probably write a rather long book about my life path and my insights so there is really no point in doing that here in the About page. You will benefit far more from studying the information that I have to offer then from reading my ramblings about myself.

If you could ask me one thing, and I could chose what you will ask me ( lol ), I would want you to ask me “Kristina, what is the best way to go about this business?” and I would then invite you to step into my world, subscribe to my mailing list (in order to get notified of new posts) and read this blog as often as you can find time to do that.

I will let you snoop around the blog now. Feel free to comment on what you think you would like to contribute to.

I thank you for visiting my site and for reading this page. I would also suggest that you read the commenting guidelines. I do not run this blog with the intention to allow vacant rants and stuff that I would not normally want to see in my own back yard. The main intent behind building a community around me is to provide useful insight and information.

Once again. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and for respecting the TOS, Privacy Policy and Commenting Guidelines.
